So I've had quite a long extended absence from DA... I've been real busy and lazy and having over 1,000 deviations and 1000 messages to go through was just too intimidating

and I've just started college at the University of Delaware!! I'm officially moved in, and now i'm entertaining the ideas of different jobs.

So, I was just wondering- if I were to offer commissions would anyone even be INTERESTED? PLease let me know your thoughts- whether you're just not interested at all, or I'm not the type of artist or not skilled enough, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts! Of course it's no commitment- but if you are indeed interested you could get first/early dibs Pencil is my usual media, and the moment pretty much what I could do (my pastels are at home). But I have started working with pastels recently on a portrait for my mom, so hopefully I'll be able to get that posted in some form so people can see what they think.

so I'm actually hand-writing this message on My new tablet! thanks very much to all the people who helped me decide which one to get!

For anyone who's curious, I wound up with the super expensive 6x11 inch one... so we'll see how it goes!

and maybe i'll get to some digital art! wahoo!

I think it's about time i changed my journal...

So i'm pretty sure i'm going to be getting a tablet soon, but i'm not sure which to get. the FAncy ones (cintiq? i think?) with the screens and everything are definitely out of my price range, unfortunately. Do any of you guys have tablets or any info to offer? I need to know how mch the size matters, and bamboo fun vs. intuo, etc.

i just wanted to thank everyone for the progress i've made on deviant art. I'm approaching 6,500 pageviews, and my JAke Gyllenhaal drawing [link] has just over 100 favorites and nearly 1,000 views. And i have over 500 favorited pieces total. Needless to say, I've still got a long way to go, but hopefully i'll be doing more art in the near future.
